Beta global was well dead in November ‘05. It’s just a minior mistake.
I was sort of crushed by the collapse of beta also. Except the difference is that it was all for the better in the end. I would have liked to get my account moved from beta to global, but I now realize how little was achieved in those days compared to today.
Regardless, the single greatest achievement and result of beta was the formation of a great community. And hell yeah, that’s the only reason I would log on sometimes. The single worst problem with GMS today is the breaking up of that community. I would love it if a world chat system were implemented so I could talk to all of my beta friends from Windia.

Hey pokgai dude ive i got a lvl 43 xbowman in mapleglobal and im thinking in swapping to korea maplestory or japan maplestory but the problem is i aint know any of the two languages :( isnt ther a new update in the witch you can change languages? I hope ther is i hate that mapleglobal is mad full of hackers and is always the last one to get update instead kms or Jms are always the first one :(, for example we dont even have the internet cafe thing in kerning city or anything we dont have cocacola land niether :(

Correction: I scammed Pokgai (Crossbowman in Scania) from Aaron (Ray’s friend) when it was Level 33. I then gave it back to Aaron when I didn’t want it (months later), so how did you get it to 36? You didn’t go back to it, you were playing JMS, @Level80 when I returned it.

The top there is 200 it is not that suprising. Even in Global I don’t think you would be in the top 100 at level 127.

XD I kind of did the same. :0 I played Gunbound but it got boring. My friend out of no where asked me if I wanted to play Maple Story. (“It looks like Gunbound, Tk! Let’s play! lol”) So I ended up playing Beta with him for awhile until oMS/GMS came out. ;___; After a while. . my friends started leaving me for JMS. Soo. . “if you can’t beat them join them. ” :D & that’s exactly what I did. Then they quit JMS so I went back to oMS/GMS. :00

Hey Ray. You seem to be a very interesting person. I would really love playing jMS so I’ve decided to take action and try my hardest to learn Japanese. I’m sure you’re site will help with the “Japanese” section. I play global now and well im not really at a level where you feel bored yet but jMS just looks so much better. I have seen all you’re Youtube videos and their all great. I will try my best to make an acc in jMS and learn to speak Japanese or at least type it. I have two questions though and I would really appreciate it if you would answer them.
1. Do you need a Japanese keyboard to type it or is there a program that translates english letters into japanese?
2. Do you need a Japanese or asian code or something to play it?

2. You need the Japanese Code Page to play jMS and when you switch to that, it also opens up your Japanese keyboard which you use to type JP.

Hey, I was just wondering what your computer specs are, since when I tried playing JMS, I lagged like crazy( though I have a pentium 3 still.. yeah I know my computers a joke). I’m plannning to upgrade my computer in the summer so I just want to know ahead of time of what type of specs I should look to get.
