Qing!

Serene Papulatus run, we killed first form in about 20minutes, but then we had to wait another 20minutes, because we had to wait for the hacker/looter to disconnect >_> We didn’t find any skill books this run ;__;

Ilbi that I found right before leveling up, that makes the 9th one:

Dragon Pulse!

I went to Nath PQ today…

It works 100% on normal monsters but only flinches bosses. *Throws away PKB key*

Phoenix!

Level 1: 42mp 305weapon attack 113Seconds

It doesn’t use summoning rock, but you can’t have both birds at the same time, it’s basically Attack vs Stun.

4th Job Reflection #1

March 29, 2007

So I guess a lot of people have been wondering the true usefulness of the fourth skills. I will quickly go over a quick summary of the couple of skills I been able to try the past 2 days. As time goes on and I am able to max out my skills, I will compile all these reflections together and make a full guide.

Sharpe Eye (Level 10):
5% increase(making it a 45% chance of critical) 100 seconds.

Obivously the first skill I used my points on, to sum it in as little words as possible: “It’s fricken amazing!!!”. My strongest criticals with Strafe normally would be 6.5k on monsters I train on, but with the new buff, I could hit as high as 10k on those mobs and 13k on snails. Right after I got this skill, I went directly to anego and boy did people fall in love with me, I even had some JP players come stalking me, haha.

This is a must have for all archers, I will be maxing this skill ASAP(Horntail PT pls!).

Hurricane (Level 10):
60%/Arrow, 6MP/Shot

First thing’s first, watch this:
The Raw Power of Hurricane

I was able to pin back a lot of the monsters that were too fast for strafe, meaning right after I got this skill from the quest, I been using it 90% of the time. Like the first time I got Strafe, I was brought to tears again using this new skill.(Not rly)

The control for it is pretty basic, except I find it in a way less stable than anything I used in the past. The main issue with this skill is that if your internet connection and computer isn’t the best, you will most likey overkill monsters similar to how FA will overkill if there’s lag; to overcome this program, the user has to develope the feel of when to start and stop firing. The next thing about this skill that is different is that you can’t jumpshoot with this skill, so to compensate with this problem, you would either need to jumpshot with Strafe to avoid projectiles or step and fire(it’s slower than standing and firing).

The final issue with this skill is that it overtakes your commands when you want to pot, for example: if you ever played an archer, you could be holding down strafe but once you hit your pot button, it would stop strafe and start potting. In the case of Hurricane, you have to set go of the button before you can pot (which reminds me, there’s a slight start and stop delay)However, I never actually died from this problem, at least not yet.

Overall, the skill is pretty good so far and as I master it, I should be able to pin almost all monsters in the game. The skill is very promising and is my second priority.

Hamstring
Level 1…

I actually used it at anego, himes and lots of other mobs, it’s actually pretty good. However I will write about it some other day.

**Extra notes, I put one point into Expert to raise my mastery from 60% to 65*
